UWP Luxe, Up With Paper’s boutique line of stationery products and elegant home goods, received three Merit Awards in the HOW International Design Awards. These prestigious awards have recognized design excellence on a global scale for over 25 years, honoring hundreds of entries from all over the world.
The first winning design, which was also the recipient of the 2018 LOUIE Award in the Everyday Boxed Sets category, is UWP Luxe’s Constellations Boxed Note, designed by Designer, Illustrator, and Director of Social Media, Brette Guilmette. Second, from its LAYERS Greetings line, is the Geometric card, designed by Illustrator and Photographer, Nicole Yen, featuring layers of laser-cut and die-cut paper and hand-finished for a variety of occasions. Third, designed by Designer, Illustrator, and Prepress Artist, Jackie Chakar, is UWP Luxe’s Matchbook pop-up greeting card from its Dear Alchemy, line of mini pop-up greeting cards full of sweet surprises and interactive elements. The art direction for the UWP Luxe line is led by Yoojin Kim, Art Director of UWP Luxe, and Monika Brandrup, Vice President and Creative Director of UWP Luxe.
UWP Luxe’s Constellations Boxed Note, Geometric LAYERS Greetings card, and Matchbook pop-up greeting card will be featured in the The Best of Design, a hardcover book showcasing the best from today’s leading art directors, studios and creative professionals, which will be released in the summer of 2019.
The UWP Luxe Creative team was also recognized for design excellence earlier this year, as the winner of the greeting card industry’s highest honors at the 2018 LOUIE Awards. The company received nine LOUIE Awards, including the Judge’s Award for Excellence and Card of the Year for its intricate, laser-cut pop-up greeting card depicting a scene from the holiday classic, The Nutcracker.
